ISRAEL AMBASSADORS
Heading 1
Israel Ambassadors
Our Israel Ambassadors play a key role in recruiting and creating the largest delegation to Israel for both Birthright and Onward. Ambassadors serve as the campus spokespeople for these programs through partnering with us in tapping into their peer networks. We are excited to invite Jewish students to share their Israel story with other Jewish Gators through public space engagement, events and recruitment for Israel travel programs.
UF Hillel will look towards their most dedicated ambassadors when it comes time to select our Birthright staff (however, becoming an Israel Ambassador does not guarantee an opportunity to staff a trip). Although the Birthright trip is a 10 day immersive program, we require our staff to commit to the on-campus experience before and after the travel component.
As an Israel Ambassador, you are committing to:
-
Four hours of public space engagement (tabling and/or flyering) each month
Consistent weekly shifts will be assigned based on Ambassadors’ schedules
-
Volunteer for UF to Israel events
-
Attend Bi-Weekly Israel Ambassador meetings; meeting time TBD by group
-
Utilize your personal Birthright recruiter link to promote registration
-
Social media engagement (features, take-over, liking, and sharing on UF Hillel's page)
In order to keep track of your participation as an ambassador, each responsibility is assigned a point value and will be kept track of. Israel Ambassadors should ideally be earning 10 points minimum each month in order to be considered for a Birthright staff position.
