Birthright Sign Up

Dear Applicant,

As we are approaching registration, I wanted to let you know what the process for registration. Registration will officially open February 17th at noon EST.

In order to begin your registration process  please go to the following link: http://www.birthrightisrael.com/site/PageServer?pagename=trip_to_experts_main

On the Taglit-Birthright application, you will need to follow these steps:

  • Steps 1-4: Include a number of short questions. In Step 6 your will be requested to submit a short essay about yourself and why you want to participate in this program.

  • Step 5: Trip Selection: please make sure to pick Discover Israel May-Campus Connection University of Florida. (DO NOT CHOOSE HILLEL AS YOUR TRIP ORGANIZER!)

  • Step 7: At this point an email will be sent to you asking for confirmation. If possible try and avoid using university emails : emails ending with 'edu' have a tendency to block emails from Birthright as spam.

  • Step 8: After email confirmation, you will be asked to place a deposit. Your deposit will be  processed via Payoneer and will be refunded after the trip.

* Please note  there will be  a particularly high number of applicants for your trip option, some applicants at this point may receive an automated message from Birthright  that the trip is waitlist only. This does not indicate their  final status. Actual flight assignments are determined later on in the process and of course will be done in coordination with you.

Within 24-48 hours  after completing your registration on the birthright system, you will receive a welcome email from IsraelExperts asking you  to continue your application process using an IsraelExperts Infocenter  profile created - the login information will be provided.  The Infocenter account is THE only place  for you to request the EXACT departure date . DEPARTURE DATES are Bus 1 - May 5; Bus 2 - May 6. In addition the Infocenter account is the place for applicants to enter friends requests, mandatory medical and emergency  details and interview availability times.

For more information, email Dana Ben-Chail, UF Hillel Israel Fellow at Dana@ufhillel.org.
